HISTORY

Professional Experience & Executive Leadership

Joe began his career in the theater industry at age eleven, taking on his first management role at 17. He subsequently advanced into regional multi-unit management before being appointed Manager of the highest-volume theater in the world, located in New York City. He later served as Division Manager for a regional theater chain, overseeing operations across 38 locations.

In 2004, Joe joined Bow Tie Cinemas®—a four-generation, family-owned cinema chain based in New York City—as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he engineered key revenue-driving initiatives, including the development of the Bow Tie Ultimate® concept and BTX: Bow Tie Extreme, the company's proprietary premium large-format brand and technology. Under his operational leadership, the chain expanded into multi-use entertainment offerings—including integrated beer gardens, large-scale arcades, and bowling centers—and earned widespread industry recognition, including "Best Place to Work" honors and numerous customer service awards.

Scene One Entertainment & Recent Growth

In 2022, Joe became a partner at Bow Tie Management, overseeing theater operations for third-party ownership groups. He acquired the company in 2023, founding Scene One Entertainment and relocating its corporate headquarters to Upstate New York. While continuing to manage high-profile venues for external clients, Scene One expanded its corporate footprint to own and operate seven additional locations by 2026.

Expanding the company's location-based entertainment portfolio, Scene One acquired Huck Finn’s Playland in Albany, NY, in 2023, reopening the historic amusement park for its 72nd season. The company enters 2026 with an aggressive growth strategy, targeting the addition of nearly 100 screens to its portfolio over the next twelve months
