Scene One Cinemas announces holiday movie slate

Holiday showtimes for Spectrum 8, Wilton Mall, and Movieland theatres announced

ALBANY, N.Y. (Dec. 5, 2025) — Scene One Entertainment is proud to announce the 2025 holiday season lineup and showtimes, with a slate of classic favorites in rotation at Spectrum 8 Theaters in Albany, Albany, Wilton Mall Cinemas in Wilton, and Movieland 6 in Downtown Schenectady.


Movies and showdates at Spectrum 8 Theaters include:

  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase on Saturday, Dec. 6 & Monday, Dec. 8; -The Shop Around the Corner starring Margaret Sullivan and James Stewart on Sunday, Dec. 7 & Wednesday, Dec. 10;

  • It’s a Wonderful Life starring James Stewart and Donna Reed on Saturday, Dec. 13 & Monday, Dec. 15; -White Christmas starring Bing Crosby on Sunday, Dec. 14 & Wednesday, Dec. 17;

  • A Christmas Story starring Peter Billingsley on Saturday, Dec. 20, Sunday, Dec. 21, and Saturday, Dec. 22.


Movies and showdates at the Wilton Mall and Movie include:

  • Elf starring Will Ferrell on Saturday, Dec. 6 & Sunday, Dec. 7;

  • A Christmas Story starring Peter Billingsley on Saturday, Dec. 13 & Sunday, Dec. 14;

  • The Polar Express starring Tom Hanks on Saturday, Dec. 20 & Sunday, Dec. 21;

  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase on Saturday, Dec. 27 & Sunday, Dec. 28.

Jeremiah S. Chechik’s beloved Christmas comedy, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase, follows the Griswold family who attempt to plan a good old-fashioned Christmas vacation when things take a hysterical turn for the worse.


The Shop Around the Corner is a critically acclaimed romantic comedy directed by Ernst Lubitsch, following two employees at a leather goods shop in pre-war Budapest who turn from enemies to lovers.


It’s a Wonderful Life, directed by Frank Capra, is a timeless classic that reminds us of the importance of each individual life and the profound impacts we can have on others.

The American musical, White Christmas, directed by Michael Curtiz, was the first film released in VistaVision — a higher resolution, widescreen process developed by Paramount that used twice the surface area of 35mm film, which was standard at the time.


A Christmas Story, directed by Bob Clark, follows the misadventures of 9-year-old Ralphie Parker, who just wants a Red Ryder Range 200 shot BB gun for Christmas, despite warnings that he’ll shoot his eye out.


Elf, starring Will Ferrell and directed byJon Favreau, follows Buddy, a human raised by Santa’s elves, on his journey to New York City to meet his biological father, who is unaware of his existence.


Robert Zemeckis’ The Polar Express is a whimsical animated film that takes viewers along a boy’s magical train ride to the North Pole as he questions his belief in Santa.
